Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight has a way of staying with you long after the ferry pulls away — its rolling chalk downs, hidden bays, and unhurried pace belonging to a world that feels somehow apart from the mainland bustle. These paintings were made from photographs taken during a visit in September 2017, and each one holds a particular memory: standing on Culver Down with the sea stretching away to the south, spotting a little mint-green house tucked beside Freshwater Bay, and wandering up toward Tennyson Down with Dimbola Lodge in view — the former home of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, and a place well worth the visit if you ever find yourself on the island.
These are original paintings available as fine art prints — quiet, light-filled scenes that might suit a home with a connection to the island, or simply a love of the English coast.
