The Wind in the Willows is such a charming, witty story. As much as I absolutely love the illustrations of Inga Moore and Chris Dunn, I grew up having a German edition illustrated by Eric Kincaid. I always loved this scene of sweet, little Moley looking out the window, so I made a little study of it. One of my favourite details about it is his wee shoe beginning to fall off as if he’d been swinging his leg in anticipation.
