Upon getting the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie companion book by Perry Moore, I knew I had to draw this gorgeous face of Aslan that was printed all by itself on the opening page. When I was 17 years old I spent two months enjoying studying the pattern of his fur and the cool colours in his eyes as I drew it with Crayola pencils before I ever used Prismacolor. This has become well known as one of my masterpieces, and I am still really proud of this drawing. I feel it also conveys and symbolises much of what my work is about. It has faithfully been holding prime wall placement in four homes I have lived in thus far and continues to bring me joy each day.
